Biography
Gordon Marshall was born in New Haven, Connecticut, on October 14, 1963. He grew up in Hingham, Massachusetts. As a child he was interested in drawing, and liked to ski. In his teens he studied classical piano at The South Shore Conservatory of Music, in Hingham. He attended Hingham High School and Milton Academy. He studied literature and composition theory at the University of Massachusetts at Boston, where he received his Bachelor of Arts in 1992. He has worked for several years at various financial institutions. His favorite writers are Ian McEwan, Jim Crace, Lloyd Schwartz, and Charles Simic. He lives in Boston, Massachusetts.
